Are you really a friend of Jesus? Do you know Him or have an affection for Him ? Is your bond of affection mutual between you and Him?

I can state without an iota of doubt that Jesus loves you and He is your friend ; there is no Greater love that one should lay down one’s life for one’s friends ( John 15:12) . A genuine friend, that choose you and share all things He heard from the Father with you ( John 15:15) . He has demonstrated his love and sincere friendship with you with His death on the cross. Can He equally call you His friend? Well, provided you meet these conditions :

1. If you keep His commandments. ( John 15:14)
2. If you are not ashamed to be associated with Him. ( Mark 8:38)
3. If you are ready to love others friends too and be part of the big family? ( Hebrews 10:25)
4. If you are ready to be on His side always regardless of the circumstances? Remember you cannot serve two masters nor be lukewarm, the loyalty to the friendship must be one hundred percent ( Matthew 6:24)
5. If you share the same interest? Are His delights same as yours? ( Psalms 1:2)
6. If you are eagerly looking forward to see Him and spend eternity with Him? ( Titus 2:13).

Since friendship is a mutual bond , for you to be called Jesus’s friend or to be known as His friend, then you must meet the stated above conditions. In addition, you will be part of the branches of the Vine , with the expectations of bearing fruits to the delight of your friend’s Father.

Take a bold step and become His friend, start to get acquainted with His character by reading the Words, believing and obeying all that He has said. Understand the truths He has revealed from the Father and to abide and depend entirely on Him through prayers. Remember communication is very key to the friendship, so keep the portal open always.

Friends of Jesus are chosen by Him, so delligently set yourself apart to meet the criteria, so that you will be chosen. Be Jesus’s friend and enjoy a beautiful and rewarding bond !!! Develop an intimate relationship with Him and get first – hand experience of His Great Love . He is waiting, you are His Beloved. He is your friend till the end of age. What a friend we have in Him now and forever . Amen.
